A wonderful week

Started off not too good weather wise but got better as the week went on. Had coffee with a new friend and business colleague on Wednesday, a lovely chat and excellent coffee. Hair cut on Thursday with another visit to the garden centre, this time for pebbles, did not cost anything as had some loyalty vouchers from them, now that is the type of buying I love.

Finished the new bed with the pebbles, so much neater than before.

When looking for sewing themed fabric for the scissor keepers last week came across these wooden spools. Had bought about 4 years ago and never used, although did have a plan.

As dismal on Sunday wanted something where the machine did the work and I could just embellish. Spool pin cushions with sewing mice round the centre.

Think they feel quite Vintage in style and enjoyed making them.

Not a lot of crafting done as had to 'help' DH with the kitchen ceiling. What is it with men that they always need help, grrrr!!!!! 2 washes and 2 top coats later looking good, all ready for Andrew to finish the lights on Monday, then will be able to see again. Not good fumbling round the kitchen with just a hob light on, lol and I am a tad clumsy.

That is all for this week, enjoy the good weather and maybe summer has started

Kitchen changeover and not much crafting

We have lost our minds and decided to replace the kitchen, last done in about 1998 and now looking very sorry for itself. Started with the first stage electrics on Tuesday followed by the skimming of the ceiling on Thursday, to get rid of the Artex. This week Lee will be doing washes to seal and top coats. Am beginning to wonder why we started this and still to select and have the units fitted. I know will look good when done but the upheaval is stressing me out. Love my kitchen organised.

Hence not a lot of crafting being done as have to make sure the worker is happy, lol. Did manage to make some cuff bracelets, another personalised scissor holder, for my website some plain scissor holders and pin cushions.

Finally a pink flower organza pin, plan to use at the Women Only Connected meetings and my events. May make some more to sell as do love these with the sparkly centres.

Feel I am drifting a bit atm and need to get back on track perhaps a visit to the Packhouse may inspire me to start working again.

Sewing Room and more from the Rose, Linen and Lace Collection

Bought a beautiful length of fabric depicting vintage style sewing labels. Had a ponder and made into Lavender Pin Cushions/ Sachets, so pretty

the smaller labels could not be wasted and what better way to use up than turn into key rings.

These have been added to my 'Sewing Room' collection.

Back to Roses, linen and lace and this time some lavender filled dress forms, with pretty lace skirts, velvet ribbon and roses. They can be added to a door handle to scent a room and look pretty at the same time.

Final make of the week for my shop a couple of pretty stationery wallets with matching toppers printed onto fabric for the front. Contains 8 notelets and envelopes.

Another make for myself, this time an overtop with dipped hemline, large roomy pockets gathered with ties and my first t shirt with batwing sleeves. The cotton I had in my dressmaking stash for donkey's.

Have gone mad and ordered some more fabric a pretty rose print jersey for another t shirt and a pale pink linen for another over top the same as the lilac print above. Hope to get these done when they arrive but a busy week as Lee is off to the hospital again on Friday for more tests. Leaving big Sis in charge of the mutlet, that should be fun.......
