Flutterby's and more

Another week of crafting and the weather has been odd one day beautiful the next dull and miserable but I have not let the changes get me down worked on some Spring/Summery things this week.

Butterfly Carte et un Cadeau's

Undecided about these but having found these beautiful foil embossed cards made up my mind a card and gift in one. Machine embroidery lace design in variegated pastel thread with a brooch back. The foil card design varies some are gold and some silver, some have square centres others circles but I am happy with the end result and as I love butterflies.....

Thank You Cards

A set of 3 thank you cards, simple yet effective designs and to have a set to hand just perfect

St Patrick's Day

Not to ignore the Irish contingent (forgive me Grand Ma) a Patchwork Shamrock embroidered card perfect for St Patricks Day on the 17th March and as my patron saint must not forget this day.

This is my new baby working away for me producing beautiful designs, what would I do without it?

Just for a laugh:

Took Shiloh up to the playing fields for a run around, he rugby tackled Lee to the ground then got sent of to the sin bin on a red card for said tackle after trying to give his Dad the kiss of life, this was also to add insult to injury for Lee in front of 3 other dogs and their owners.

  2. The cards are lovely... I so like what you are achieving with your Janome, the results are gorgeous. I think if I had one the only time I would go out would be to get new thread supplies, LOL!

  12. Fantastic idea. I adore the Thank You cards. I have to agree with Ros though - there would be no need to leave the house again. In fact I'd do the thread shopping online so really no need :)

  17. Those are so lovely, I think it would be so much fun to produce something like that. It must be the most wonderful feeling to look at it as it's done and know you did it! Just amazing. :)
Our weather is definitely most unFlorida like today. It was 54 degrees F (that would be about 13 C I think) this morning. I know you probably think that's not that cold, but for this person used to wearing flip flops and shorts year 'round it was a bit chilly to take Pauli out to do her business! :) Oh, and windy, I think about 15 mph. Crazy! :)

  18. Lovely cards, the Thank You Cards are always a handy thing to have around, I'm sure they will be a big hit.
The weather is always a bit of a gamble at this time of year but we have been very lucky thus far.
    Have a great week

  19. I'm a Facebook fan and I really enjoy your blog. I like seeing your latest crafts projects. I particularly like the shamrock card. I like the quilted effect caused by the different patterns in the shamrock. A card like that will be treasured by the recipient for years to come.

  20. What lovely, lovely cards. Your story about Shiloh brought back back fond memories of my family dog who'd do things like that.
