Crafting Monday Blogs

Monday here again folks and after our fair last week I have not done much crafting so check out the crafty make blogs on 1st Unique Gifts
&
Make Mine Pink

I did finish a hand painted and machine embroidered picture which I made some time ago but never got around to framing, searching on my travels last week produced a frame I am happy with, used dark green mount to I hope set off the design:

I cut my own mounts but gave up picture framing a long time ago, cheaper I am sad to say to buy ready made. Last Christmas Lee (DH) bought me some Disney signature trading cards again have been meaning to cut the mounts and frame for my workroom, have had the frames standing in a corner since December so before too much more of the year has gone this weekend was D Day and they got done, all the measuring for the 2.5" x 3.5" cards takes some doing not to mention the mount cutting but am so happy with them and think they add something fun to my work room walls.

Have a Happy Crafting week

  1. I am in awe of your mixed media painting/embroidery, works incredibly well. The Disney montage is great... why is it that Pinocchio always makes me smile?

  9. I like how the sky bleeds off into the edge of the picture, I would love to see that in person, but it looks really cool in the photo. Framing your own stuff looks difficult, but great job.
The Disney cards are awesome. I have a friend who still goes to Disney every chance she gets, she would die for those! :)

  11. Your painting and embroidery is absolutely gorgeous. I too have never seen that before. Your mounts for the disney cards are great too I don't think I would have the patience to cut them all out by hand.
