Love it when a plan comes together
Have been working hard this week and apart from a break on Wednesday when I met up with a friend for coffee and chat, been ensconced in my sewing room.
Working on some old and some new projects starting with the last knitted bodice dress, pretty in pink and in this case a magenta top.
Needle minders
Been thinking of these for a while made out of wood blanks and some pretty prints added to the fronts. A floral button added to the bottom magnet makes it easy to remove from the top part, holding your needle. Then came the decision, how to display. A hoop seemed the obvious item but had to add 'Needle Minder' in cross stitch to the centre then of course some broderie anglais lace.
Order for lavender sachets, all packaged and waiting for courier collection on Monday
Sold another lavender lady to the same lovely customer who bought the last 3
Some more fun paperclips
Finally the Strawberry Lavender Sachets, these have been a bit stop and start as ran out of green embroidery thread so could not finish. Mainly because gave a load of thread to my sister when I had a de-clutter.
Linking up with Handmade Monday
Until next week, have fun and try to dodge the rain

Bows, Paperclips, Pegs and another knitted bodice dress
Been a productive week or two as did not blog last week but gave myself a mini home holiday. The temperatures have been rising again and could do with some rain to clear the air and help the gardens. Watering every day but tap water is not the same as rain water.
On the making front another baby dress, this time in lilac with a pretty flower fairy print
Now onto pocket money makes:
Flower pegs, ideal for keeping those papers tidy
Butterfly paperclips, no office can be without these
Glitter and fancy hair bows, on alligator clips
Lastly some travel sewing kits, perfect fit for a small handbag.
Apart from the dress these are not on my website but if interested just drop me message via my contact details on my website.
Back to making some more owl paperweights, filled with rice and the perfect size for keeping loose sheets of paper safe.
Until next week, stay cool and have fun

My mojo is back
Following from my despondent post last week about when to give up, have sprung back, my mojo decided time to return from holiday, hope it was somewhere warm. Okay did not start making until Friday for some items but got there in the end.
Another knitted bodice baby dress, two more balls of wool ordered in a light magenta and lilac. Have just the fabric for the skirts.

Continuing the Queen Bee collection this time some tissue cases
and a couple of small make up bags.
Looking at the weather widget looks as if going to be a good week with the temperature getting as high as 25. I expect at that point we will all be wilting and wishing for a cool breeze. Us Brits and our weather, lol.
Have a good week

Lavender, roses and thunder storms
We have been having a mini heat wave in the UK but as normal Saturday morning brought a hum dinger of a thunderstorm and rain. Always love how it smells and feels after rain though as when it has been hot seems to freshen everything up. Even the birds seem louder and we have plenty of those singing in the trees from 4am, lol.
Makes this week:
Knitted bodice baby dress, this has been on my needles for some time and finally finished, think that the vintage style rose bud fabric is perfect for the cable and moss stitch bodice.

Still on a knitting binge and lavender ladies , these are so cute and fun to make. This is 'Freda' more styles coming soon.
With all this knitting have had a relaxing week, plus staying cool by an open window. Sometimes moving away from my machines is a good thing.
Until next time

May has arrived, now where's summer
Welcome to May, just need a bit warmer weather to go with the sun, drop the Artic winds and should be perfect.
Been busy this week, actually got my self into gear. Sorted and tidied 2 chest of drawers of clothes, a huge bag of unwanted stuff winging it's way to the charity shop. Some of the stuff was new, still with labels but could not remember why I bought it in the first place. So bad.
End of April makes:
Macaron fabric, love this in the two tones, already made two half aprons a while back out of the cream, added a frame clutch bag with a tiered cake, tissue case and 2 babies sun dresses.
Also from a local online supplier, walked over and collected on Thursday, a length of Alice in Wonderland words fabric. Now what do I have planned for this? may be able to show you in the next couple of weeks.
A lady where I get a lot of my embroidery designs from did a show in the US, now that is what I call a display, stunning. Love the cloths rather than flat but not sure how that would work. I suppose if you stitched the ruffle onto velcro. Added negative velcro to the top cloth and wrap round the table, adding some safety pins for extra hold. Not sure how it would travel though as would have to be kept flat and uncreased. She set up the day before and collapses the day after the event. This makes things less rushed and just turn up on the day to sell, sell, sell.

See you next week and take care
