Show and Tell Monday
Good Morning all, another week and cooler. Whilst I like the summer days last week was just too much, got no work done the house is a tip, lol. Starting to pick up speed this week as I have an event at the Gregg School Southampton on Saturday, leaving DH in charge of the house and the dog, oh my is this wise me thinks?
Onto my offerings for Show and Tell, went shopping with my neighbour on Saturday had a lovely lunch in a very old part of Farnham called 'The Lion and Lamb", sitting under a parasol in a cobbled street eating our lunch and chatting for England, very civilised. I digress whilst shopping found thses lovely doilies plan to use them in a patchwork tea cup design, you will have to wait and see the finished item in a few weeks.
Have steered away from cards at fairs as there are always such a lot of stalls selling them but thought I would go away from the paper variety and incorporate my sewing and applique skills, consequently have produced the following:
Appliqued the flowers and pot onto fabric then stitched onto card, then mounted onto the main card piece. Buttons make the centres.
Then got on a role, I love bumble bees and think they represent summer as well as standing for good luck, the wings are made using striped organza ribbon. Off to make some more whilst the ideas are flowing, I love doing OOAK as do not have the patience to produce multiples of the same design and my brain is always several steps ahead of my body, thinking of new ideas. I feel the call of butterflies and dragonflies next.
Check out the other MMP blogs for some wonderful tales and creative offerings.
Happy Birthday to PatM this week on the 11th, I hope you have a wonderful day Pat here's wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Hugs x
