Handmade Monday No. 114
Been sewing this week and started off with a Ladies Shirt top, made in pale pink linen with a Designers Guild linen tea towel on the right side.
Bought these wood blanks a while back, got the acrylics out, set up the embroidery machine to stitch some lace wings and ended up with a gathering of mini angels.
Some pretty pink wool turned into a hat with matching bootees
Had enough left over on the ball to make 2 cute beanie style hats.
Now for the coming week have another ball of yarn on the go for more of the above but this time in lemon and have dug out some fabric and lace to make a pretty skirt for a 3 year old. Also have some plans for some tooth fairy pillows.
Currently jotting every new idea in one of my many notebooks, to ensure I never forget what I want to do. My head is full of ideas but getting older and need to have a written record.

Handmade Monday No. 113
Another handmade Monday number 113 where has the time gone. Thank you Julie for over 2 years of dedication to Handmade Monday.
This week have been working on more baby knits and considering colour schemes. Think may have mentioned this before but several years ago read an article about colours on websites. The advice was to stick to a colour palette throughout for the site and creations. Now I have not followed this but must admit am drawn to certain colours being pink, grey and white:
Love these colours as not a primary girl but pastels all the way. However also love the shades of the sea:
Must admit would be so much cheaper to stick to a colour palette and could buy more of the colours in this range. Instead of running out and then having to panic.
The article stated that you will get a following for those colours and having too many choices make's it harder for customer to choose. I do agree with this as a bit like an over crowded stall, with so many things to buy you end up walking away as cannot make a decision.
For me the New Year is sticking, within reason, to the above colour palettes. Will have to use up bits I have but in the case of wool can make more of these cute bow hats.
A mixed pink random wool jacket with ribbon wrapped edges. It does have my colours in it, so not all bad.
Some more bow hats, using up left over lengths of yarn
Have booked a stall for 3 events this year, may, Oct and Nov. Had not been going to do early in the year but got a round table for £6 and plan to use that to display the party bags and fillers and maybe have a mini sale of certain stock items. This is back to the Liphook Monthly Market but this will decide me if worth doing for another year. Keep going back because friendly, easy and a lovely bright hall. They just need to get a few more buying customer's in and not so many OAP's (which I am almost 1 before anyone shouts) who just come in for coffee and a chat with friends. Sadly they make a beeline for the cafe and ignore all the stallholders. Free to go in and may stop this if they charged but a community hall so hard to do.
Would love to organise a vintage and artisan fair in our local hall but know I am no longer up to it stamina wise. Due to meet a local crafter (met on FB) in Spring for coffee so may discuss with her, if could get say 6 of us to do together would be a lot easier.

Handmade Monday No. 111
Well it has been cold this week, not much in the snow department for us which is good but do not like this ice. Thank goodness work from home, see the neighbours cars driving out the road carefully and several that have slid not to mention people walking.
Been a busy week but do not seem to have a lot to show for it, waiting for some lace trim to finish a baby top but have finished:
Another reading pillow

Handmade Monday No. 110
Well the year is zooming past again and seem to be very busy atm. My brain is full of ideas and have to keep jotting them down. This past week my feet do not seem to have touched the ground. Spent a boring hour in the garage waiting for the car, exhausted my new magazine and my eyes got tired from reading a book. Still all done.
Back to work another reading pillow this time a Fairy
Couple of driving test cards
Part way through another reading pillow, this time a giraffe not finished yet as the fat quarter I ordered was slightly narrower than I expected. Should have reads thre description, only have enough for the main front and one half of the back. Order placed for some more.
Had a yarn delivery on Saturday a baby DK with a shimmer. Working on the pattern again not completed but have mapped out enough to start the lower back. Just the top part with cable etc. Hope to have something to show in the next week or two.

Happy New Year and WIP
Happy New Year folks, did you make any resolutions? I did not bother apart from tidying up my workspace when I have finished or cannot complete a project. Have also done a tick list for new products, so that I remember to add them where they should be.
Did a major stock take, had products that were on paypal but not on my site and had been sold. Products that did not appear any where apart from the boxes they were stored in. Got rid of a lot of old stock, the charity shop has done well. Had been uncertain about this latter step but now done feel so liberated and organised.
Planning what if any events I do for 2019. Will certainly do the local Christmas Fair in November but any others? at this point not sure. May do the Liphook monthly market, have a 4ft table and not do so many. Have signed up on the new Grayshott community website and will make full use of that.
New ideas this year include party bags both patterned and candy stripe with names embroidered on them.
WIP? A dragon book pillow. Embroidery done but ground to a halt as needed to order some lining cotton, fingers crossed that arrives on Monday otherwise will have to do some housework!!!!!!
Also have a baby jacket knitted up but need to get out my sewing machine and apply the patterned binding with picot edge.
Ordered some more A4 project boxes to keep everything tidy. Easier than plastic bags which slip and slide all over the place.
